Front-of-pack labeling soon to be mandatory

The National Institute of Food and Nutrition (INAN in Spanish) has issued the "Draft Decree of the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare, which regulates Law N° 7092 on front of pack labeling of prepackaged foods".
Prepackaged foods products for which the regulations in force require mandatory nutrition labelling and which have sugars, saturated fats and sodium content exceeding the values established by Law N° 7092/2023, must bear a Frontal Warning Label, informing consumers that the products are "high in sugars, saturated fats and sodium".
