The Indonesian Halal Label has been established by the Halal Product Guarantee Agency of the Ministry of Religion (BPJPH) and is implemented nationwide. This stipulation is contained in BPJPH Holder Decree Number 40 of 2022 regarding the Stipulation of Halal Labels as implementation of the mandate of Article 37 of Law Number 33 of 2014.
The Decree of the Head of BPJPH came into effect on March 1, 2022. Since then, the Indonesian Halal label must be used as a sign of halality of the product in accordance with applicable regulations.
