Labeling of vegetable oil and cooking oil

The Department of Consumer Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce issued a draft Directive on the labeling of vegetable oil and cooking oil.
The labeling requirements are as follows:
(a) The type of product and the ingredient of origin on which it is based shall be indicated in Burmese (Example: Vegetable oil (palm oil) or Vegetable oil (refined palm oil).
(b) The size and net quantity of the product in a unit weight of Myanmar (Viss/Kyattha) shall be indicated in Burmese.
