Revision of the Labelling Standards for Foods proposed

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) published proposed revision of the "Labelling Standards for Foods".  The "Labelling Standards for Foods" are being amended by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) as follows:

  1. With the revision of the "Enforcement Rule of the Act on Labeling and Advertising of Foods," nutrient ingredients and calories corresponding to the contents are newly added to the labelling requirements of food products with expanded nutrition display.
  2. In line with the amended Korean Food Code, a new food category (meal kit for meat) is added.
