Amendment proposed on labeling requirements for poultry meat products

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food has submitted for public discussion a draft amendment to the technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union “On the safety of poultry meat and processed products”. The draft was prepared to supplement the technical regulation with classification groups of various types of poultry products depending on the mass fraction of meat ingredients, and to adjust the conceptual apparatus and requirements for product labeling.
The proposed changes improve the protection of the interests of consumers of poultry products, as they make it possible to obtain the necessary and reliable information on the type of poultry product depending on the mass fraction of meat ingredients it contains.
