U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut) wrote to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to urge the Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) to consider recommendations to improve the “Guideline on the Justification of Labeling Claims Related to Animal Husbandry or the Environment” (“Labeling Guideline”) to better protect the public's interest in honest food labels.
