New bill to repeal the Frontal Labeling regulation

The National legislators of the Republican Proposal party (PRO in Spanish), Alejandro Bongiovanni and Daiana Fernández Molero, have presented a bill to the Congress of Deputies to repeal the Law for the Promotion of Healthy Food, called the Front Labeling Law. For the deputies, the regulations in force since December 2021, "have only served to confuse consumers and hinder the international trade of Argentine products."
"The objective of the project is the restoration of the freedom of food producers and consumers, through the repeal of the Front Labeling Regime Law No. 27,642, whose objectives are more effectively met with the regulations already in force in the Food Code in relation to labeling, marketing and information."
