Spain promotes draft regulation on labeling for the visually impaired includes food products

The Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030 has released its draft royal decree to regulate inclusive labeling for people with audiovisual disabilities.

Accessible labeling must incorporate or allow to obtain in a clear and understandable way at least the following information of the goods and products made available to consumers: the denomination or trade name thereof, and name and full address of the responsible operator in the case of food products, and of the producer in the rest of the cases, as well as contact information.

Also the nature, composition and purpose; the quality, quantity, category or usual or trade name, if any; the date of production or supply and batch, when required by regulation, recommended period for use or consumption or expiration date, and instructions or indications for safe use or consumption, as well as warnings and foreseeable risks.
