Hawaii introduces new coffee labeling rules

USA

Jun 24, 2024

Products labelled as 100% Hawaiian must be entirely grown and processed in Hawai‘i. Sharon Hurd, chairperson of the Hawai‘i Department of Agriculture, noted the challenge in enforcing the law due to limited inspection staff but promised increased inspections and reliance on complaints for immediate enforcement.
