Taiwan

Jun 10, 2024

The Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced amendments to the Regulations Governing the Product Names and Labeling Requirements for Dairy Products, effective July next year.

Milk with a shelf life of 30 days or more must be labeled as "extended shelf-life fresh milk." The changes aim at improving consumer understanding of milk products. Additionally, the new rules specify minimum font sizes for liquid milk labels and mandate clearer disclosure of milk fat and lactose modifications.
