MFDS proposes to increase fines for false nutritional labels

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has published Notice No. 2024-138, proposing to increase the fines for false labelling from being equivalent to the sales price of the relevant food to being twice the equivalent. This means that companies marketing products with false nutritional labelling could be fined up to twice as much.
