BFSA publishes draft regulation on food advertising and claims

The Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) has published the "Draft Food Safety (Advertisement and claims) Regulations, 2024". The draft Regulations set rules to ensure that food advertising and claims are accurate, truthful, and not misleading to consumers and include the conditions for the advertisement of food products, the use of nutritional and health claims and the use of non-addition of sugar or additives claims.
