Draft proposal to declare on the packaging the change of food content determining higher prices

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has published a proposed revision of the "Act on labelling and advertising of foods".
The proposed amendment is to clearly indicate on product packaging when changes are made to the net quantity of food or the content of raw materials while maintaining the same container or package.
The proposal is in response to the recent trend that sees food manufacturers increasing prices by reducing the quantity or content of ingredients.
