FSSAI Repeals Mandatory Indication of Best Before Date for unpackaged/loose confectionery

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has withdrawn the directions issued under Section-16(5), dated 25.09.2020, regarding the display of “Best Before date” for non-packaged/loose sweets.
FBOs may still declare "Best Before date" on non-packaged sweet/loose sweet containers and trays on a voluntary basis.
