Congressional Commission files bill on labeling of gluten-free foods

The Consumer Defense Commission (CODECO in Spanish) decided to file the draft Decree Law 3624/2022-CR, which promotes in the labeling of foods that do not contain gluten, in order to prevent people suffering from celiac disease. The content of the proposal is directly related to Bill 1950/2021 CR, which gave rise to Law 31881, Law that promotes providing information on foods that do not contain gluten, published in the legal norms of the official entity “El Peruano” on September 27, 2023.
