New regulations on trans-fats published

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has published the "Fats, Oil and Food containing Fats and Oil Regulation 2022" and the "Pre-Packaged Food Labelling Regulation 2022".
The new "Fats, Oils and Food containing Fats and Oils Regulation 2022" limits the amount of industrially-produced trans-fats to not more than 2% of the total fats in a fat, oil or food containing fats and oils, as recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Furthermore, new labeling requirements for trans-fats have been addressed in the "Pre-Packaged Food Labelling Regulation 2022" (replacing the previous version of 2005).
