Octagon front-of-pack warnings: stickering allowed for imported and small businesses' products

By means of Supreme Decree N° 017-2023-SA, the Ministry of Health (MINSA in Spanish) has amended the manual of advertising warnings that regulates the presentation of octagon front-of-pack warnings on certain processed foods.
The amendment allows imported products as well as micro and small businesses' products to provide advertising warnings by means of stickers or indelible printing. Stickers must be difficult to remove, indelible, resistant to low or high temperatures depending on their use and of good adherence to the type of surface used, permanent and not cover information for the consumer.
