Draft Standard on Pasta Products published

Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) has published the DEAS 173:2023, Draft East African Standard for Pasta Products, for public review.

The draft Standard specifies the requirements sampling and test methods for pasta products derived from wheat flour (Triticum Durum, Triticum Aestivum, Triticum Compactum) or any other suitable flour intended for human consumption. This standard applies to the following pasta products such as macaroni, spaghetti, Vermicelli, noodles, short-cut pasta, lasagna, fortified pasta and similar products.
