Avocado oil included in the Argentine Food Code

The Secretariat of Sanitary Management and Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries has published Joint Resolution 31/2025, which amends the Argentine Food Code to incorporate avocado oil (avocado) into Article 528, to read as follows:

"Article 528 bis of the Argentine Food Code shall be incorporated and shall be worded as follows: “Article 528 bis: The designation “Avocado Oil" means the product extracted from the mesocarp of Persea americana or by processing the whole fruit by exclusively mechanical procedures, which may have been modified by washing, sedimentation, centrifugation and/or filtration only. The use of food additives is not permitted".La Secretaría de Gestión Sanitaria y Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería y  Pesca ha publicado la Resolución Conjunta 31/2025, que modifica el Código Alimentario Argentino para incorporar al articuulo 528 el aceite de aguacate (palta), quedando redactado:
