Bill to amend the Food Security Law is presented

On June 24, the draft amendment to the Food Safety Law was submitted to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for deliberation. It proposes the creation of joint provisions to solve the problems of bulk transportation of liquid food by road and the supervision of liquid milk used for the manufacture of infant formula.
A licensing system is implemented. It is stipulated that road transport operators engaged in the bulk transportation of liquid foodstuffs must comply with hygienic conditions and obtain a transport permit in accordance with established procedures.
