Progress in the implementation of the nutritional seals and warnings system

Pursuant to Decree No. 151/22, a two-stage schedule for compliance with the front labeling declaration was established for both large and small companies. This implementation will be gradual and, in the case of some specific containers, will require a longer period to adjust the information.
According to the schedule, the first deadline for large companies is August. Thus, food and beverage containers produced after August 20 will begin to appear on the shelves with their respective seals as they are distributed and sold in the market. On the other hand, small or medium-sized companies have a longer period of time to incorporate the labeling, which is extended until February 20, 2023.
