Food registration process simplified

The Ministry of Health published an amendment to Executive Decree 43291-S that will facilitate the sanitary registration of low-risk cosmetics and processed foods. The procedure, which used to take 30 days to complete, will now have to be completed immediately.
In this sense, the President of the Republic, Rodrigo Chaves Robles assured that: "now it is automatic, you go to the Ministry of Health and say here is the evidence that this is used in these other countries, it is of minimum risk and it is registered on the spot. The person goes, already has the permit to import it and brings it in. What does that mean, more competition, cheaper price".
