Packaged foods will have new nutritional labeling model

The President of the Republic, Iván Duque Márquez, led the launch of a new model of frontal nutritional labeling for food and beverages in Colombia. This model is the result of a work led by the Presidency of the Republic; the Ministry of Health and Social Protection; the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism; the Chamber of Food Industry of Andi; the Chamber of the Beverage Industry of the same association, and civil society, represented by Red Papaz, De Justicia and Educar Consumidores, among other entities.
With this new regulation, the nutritional information included in the labels is intended to be clear and understandable to the consumer
