Under controversy advances the project that makes GMO labeling more flexible

The project that eliminates the symbol indicating the presence of transgenic components from food labels was advanced. The bill originated in the House of Representatives (PLC 34/2015) was rejected in two committees of the Senate, while it was approved in two, being criticized by the first vice president of the Senate and several entities. It is currently under consideration by the Transparency, Governance, Supervision and Control and Consumer Protection Commission (CTFC).
