The purpose of this modification of the Official Mexican Standard is to establish the commercial and health information that the labeling of the pre-packaged product of national or foreign manufacture, marketed in national territory, as well as determine the characteristics of said information and establish a frontal label system for the general population, a purpose of informing the consumer in a clear and truthful way about the content of critical nutrients that pose risks to their health in excessive consumption.
