Public consultation on nutrition labeling and nutrient profiling published by EFSA

EFSA has launched an open consultation on its draft scientific opinion advising on the development of harmonised mandatory front-of-pack nutrition labelling and the setting of nutrient profiles for restricting nutrition and health claims on foods. This document provides scientific advice on:
- Nutrients and non-nutrient components of food which are of public health importance for European populations,
- Food groups which have important roles in diets of European populations and subgroups thereof and
- The choice of nutrients and non-nutrient components of food for nutrient profiling.
