Finalised revision of the Food Labelling Standards

The Japan Consumer Affairs Agency (CAA) announced the finalised partial revision of the Food Labelling Standards based on the provisions of Article 4, Paragraph 6 of the Food Labelling Act (Act No. 70 of 2013).

Food labeling standards based on:

  • Food composition tables in Japan.
  • Genetically modified food labeling system.
  • The Japanese Agricultural Standard for soy sauce.
  • Rules on misleading labeling (Act No. 134 of 1958).
