Authorities announce Nutri-Mark, the new labeling system to highlight products with higher nutritional value

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Compliance Council (ADQCC) and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center (ADPHC) have unveiled Nutri-Mark, a front-of-pack nutrition labeling system designed to help consumers make healthier food choices, which is due to be implemented from June 2025.
Nutri-Mark, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the region, assigns food products a letter grade from A to E, with A representing the highest nutritional value.
Based on a scientifically backed system, Nutri-Mark uses a color-coded grading scale, enabling consumers to easily compare products within the same food category.
