MFDS to review food standards and specifications for food sold in vending machines

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has announced the partial revision of food standards and specifications related to microbiological standards for foods sold in food vending machines in order to ensure food safety.
The revision project aims to:
- Establishment of new microbiological standards for food vending machines.
- Establishment of new standards for E. coli and bacteria that cause food poisoning in food vending machines.
- Ensure consumer safety by managing the safety of food sold in food vending machines.
