INACAL updates Peruvian Technical Standards on food

The National Quality Institute (INACAL in Spanish) has published 3 Resolutions that update a series of technical standards related to food.

Directorial Resolution No. 022-2024-INACAL/DN approves the following technical standards:

  • NTP 202.092:2024 FERMENTED MILKS. Yogurt. Requirements. 6th Edition. Replaces NTP 202.092:2014.
  • NTP 041.006:2024 FRESH CRUSTACEANS. Requirements. 2nd Edition, Replaces NTP 041.006:1974 (Revised in 2010).
  • NTP 209.097:2024 EDIBLE OILS AND FATS. Test method for determining soap content. Trimetric method. 2nd Edition Replaces NTP 209.097:1975 (revised 2011).
  • NTP 103.001:2024 NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. Beverages with added electrolytes. Requirements. 2nd Edition. Replaces NTP 103.001:2018 (revised 2023)

Directorial Resolution No. 020-2024-INACAL/DN, the following technical standards are approved:

  • NTP 203.100:1981 (revised 2024) CANNED MANGOES. 1st Edition. Replaces NTP 203.100:1981 (Revised 2010).
  • NTP 209.405:2006 (revised 2024) CANNED ASPARAGUS. Determination of turbidity in governing liquid. (KERTESZ Turbidimeter). 1st Edition Replaces NTP 209.405 2006.

Directorial Resolution No. 019-2024-INACAL/DN, the following technical standards are approved:

  • NTP207.001:2011 (revised in 2024) SUGAR. Definition and classification. 6th Edition. Replaces NTP 207.001:2011 (revised in 2016).
  • NTP 207.004-1:2005 (revised in 2024) SUGAR. Brown sugar and direct white sugar. Test method to determine the percentage of polarization by polarimetry. Part 1. 4th Edition. Replaces NTP 207.004-1:2005 (revised in 2019).
  • NTP 207.039:2008 (revised 2024) CANE MOLASSES. Determination of total reducing sugars in molasses and refined syrups after hydrolysis by the Lane and Eynon method at constant volume. 2nd Edition Replaces NTP 207.039:2008 (revised 2019).
