EAEU amends lists of standards for technical regulations for foodstuffs

On June 2, amendments to the lists of standards for Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) technical regulations for foodstuffs (cereals, cereal flours, canned fruits, tea-based beverages, confectionery products) adopted by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission in December 2024 came into force.
According to the amendments, the list of standards for voluntary application was supplemented by 17 interstate standards and the list of standards for methods by one interstate standard. The updated version includes 10 interstate standards. Fourteen national standards of the EAEU countries were excluded, as the corresponding interstate standards were developed on the basis of them.
The amendments were prepared by the Commission on the basis of proposals from the authorized standardization bodies of the countries of the Union, taking into account item 36 “b” of the Procedure for the elaboration and adoption of lists of international and regional (interstate) standards, approved by the EAEU Council.
