NHC seeks comments on 19 food safety national standards

The National Health Commission's (NHC) Department of Food Safety Standards, Risk Surveillance and Evaluation announced the publication of 19 draft national food safety standards and amendment orders (drafts for comment), including the National Food Safety Standard General Principles of Spices for Food Use.
The draft National Food Safety Standards open for comments include revisions or the new drafts
of the following standards:
1. General standards for food spices.
2. Erythritol, food additive.
3. Sodium alginate food additive (also known as sodium alginate).
4. List of food additive standard modifications for 6 colors, including brilliant blue.
5. List of food additive standard modifications for 9 emulsifiers, including mono- and diglyceryl fatty acid esters.
6. List of food additive standard modifications for four sweeteners, including maltitol and liquid maltitol.
