Colombia publishes draft Resolution on sanitary requirements for canned tuna and tuna preparations

The Ministry of Health has published a draft Resolution that establishes the sanitary requirements to be met by canned tuna and tuna preparations that are manufactured, processed, packaged, stored, transported, imported and marketed in the national territory for human consumption.
The project includes:
- Definitions of tuna, canned tuna in natural, Canned tuna with additives and ingredients, with additives and without ingredients or without additives with ingredients and Canned tuna preparations.
- Classification of tuna.
- Sanitary requirements: Contaminants, Food additives, Physicochemical requirements, Microbiological requirements.
- Labeling requirements.
