Ukraine

Jun 10, 2024

Ukraine is increasing its dairy exports to the European Union, as revealed by Olena Dadus, Head of the Livestock and Breeding Department, during the Milky Forum on June 4th, 2024.

As she noted, the Ukrainian dairy industry is evolving to meet European standards, improving its legal framework and fostering cooperation across the production chain. Currently, over 90% of milk for processing comes from agricultural enterprises, with "extra" class milk comprising more than 40%.

As of May 28, 2024, 58 Ukrainian companies are permitted to export dairy products to the EU, contributing to a 30% increase in exports to the region this year.
