FSSAI revises Standards for Children's Nutritional Foods

The Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has re-operationalised the Food Safety and Standards (Foods for Infant Nutrition) Amendment Regulations, 2022, revising the limits for selenium, iron and manganese added to children's nutritional foods.
The new maximum limits set for such substances are the following:
- Selenium: 5-40 mg/kg
- Iron: 2-5.65 mg/kg
- Manganese: 5-500 mg/kg
