ANVISA updates regulations for infant formula label claim and nutrients limit

The Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA in Portuguese) has published Normative Instruction No 367/2025, amending the list of ingredients, usage restrictions, and claims for infant formula, nutritional formulas for high-risk newborns, follow-up foods for infants and young children, enteral nutritional formulas, and dietary treatment formulas for congenital metabolic disorders. The regulation came into effect on the date of publication.
