New law to regulate the labeling, advertising and sale of gluten-free foods published

On August 18, law No. 21,362 was published in the Official Gazette, which modifies various legal bodies in order to regulate the labeling, advertising and sale of gluten-free foods, and other matters that it indicates. In this sense, foods that are labeled as "gluten-free" must comply with the conditions established by the Food Sanitary Regulations in order to be classified as such, and have a program of good manufacturing practices, which will be established by the competent health authority.
