Draft guidelines for voluntary safety inspection and production quality control of food raw materials such as tablets and capsules

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan (MHLW) has issued the Proposal No. 495230249 to amend the “Guidelines for Voluntary Inspection of the Safety of Food Raw Materials such as Tablets and Capsules” and the “Production Control and Quality Control of Food such as Tablets and Capsules”. Both the drafts are open for comments.
The scope is ensuring raw material safety and proper product design / manufacturing in line with GMP.
Deadline for sending comments to the proposal is December 21, 2023.
