CAFFCI opens public consultation on amendment to General Rules for Food Flavorings

The China Association of Fragrance Flavour and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI) opened a consultation for public comments on amended regulation GB 29938 General Rules for Food Flavorings. The proposed draft mainly aims at modifying the varieties and quality specifications of synthetic flavorings used in food.
This revision adds quality specification requirements rather than content requirements for some substances described in Appendix D. The name of Appendix D should be changed accordingly from "Content Requirements for Synthetic Food Flavorings" to "Technical Requirements for Synthetic Food Flavorings".
