The National Institute of Nutrition Food (INAN in Spanish) has published Resolution S.G. No. 614/2023, amending Annex to Resolution S.G. No. 402/2018 on the Technical Regulation Establishing Requirements for the Labeling of Food Allergens and Sulfites in Packaged Foods.
The main amendment relates to the definition of Allergen Cross-contamination, which "occurs when a residue or a residual amount of allergenic substance is unintentionally transferred to another food, despite the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices".
