New Draft Standard on Food additive Polydextrose

The National Health Commission (NHC) has published the "National Food Safety Standard: Food additives Polydextroses".

The standard applies to:

  • polyglucose products, which are mixed by glucose, sorbitol, citric acid or phosphoric acid in a certain proportion, polymerized and refined under high temperature;
  • food additive polydextrose after neutralization and decoloration.

The standard also specifies the technical requirements and determination methods for the food additives polydextrose.
