Re-operationalisation of Labelling and Display Regulations

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued on October 17, 2023 a notification regarding the re-operationalization of Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) Amendment Regulations 2022, related to labelling requirements for non-retail container, minimally processed food, tolerance limit, warning statement for pan masala, etc.
In the notice the Authority affirms that, since the notification of the final Amendment Regulations 2022 is likely to take some time, it has been decided to re-operationalize the provisions specified in the directions STD/SP- 08/A1.2022/N-01-Part (1) dated January 06, 2023, with effect from July 01, 2023.
