New draft standard on tea production and processing

The Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) has published the "DEAS 1175: 2023, Production and processing of tea". The Draft East African Standard provides guidelines on the best practices during primary production and processing of tea, including workers health, safety and welfare, environmental protection to ensure safety and quality for the purpose of tea value chain sustainability.
