FSSAI bans addition of protein binders in milk and milk products

In a press release on October 5, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) clarified that addition of protein binders is not permitted in milk and milk products.
Only additives specifically allowed in Appendix A of the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulation, 2011 can be used in those products.
