New Draft Standard on Quick Frozen French Fried Potatoes

The Ministry of Industry & Advanced Technology (MOIAT) has published the "GCC Technical Regulation for Quick Frozen French Fried Potatoes".
The Gulf standard provides rules for fast-frozen fried potatoes prepared from fresh potatoes grown from the plant (Solanum tuberosum 1) and roots of sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas) and intended for direct consumption without additional process except for size classification or re-packaging.
The Standard does not apply to products that have not been fried or pre-cooked.
