Agave syrup added to authorized sugary foods

The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and Secretariat of Quality in Health publish Joint Resolution 17/2023. This Resolution incorporates in Article 778 of Chapter X: "Sugary Foods", agave syrup. Agave syrup is understood as syrup produced by hydrolysis from fructans (polysaccharides consisting of fructose units with or without a terminal or internal glucose unit linked by ß-2,1 and/or ß-2,6 glycosidic bonds) from plants of the agavaceae family (Agavaceae).
