Glucosylated Steviol Glycosides authorized as a new sweetener in European Union

On March 1st, 2023, Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/447 amended Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 including ‘glucosylated steviol glycosides’ (E 960d) as a sweetener. Glucosylated steviol glycosides is authorized in the food categories and at the same the maximum levels where steviol glycosides (E 960a–960c) are authorised. Futher, the specifications for glucosylated steviol glycosides are provided and will be later included in Regulation (EU) No 231/2012.
