The Malawi Bureau of Standards published a series of draft standards on alcoholic beverages and food.

 

  • DMS 208:2021 Opaque beer – Specification. This draft Malawi standard specifies the requirements, method of sampling and test for opaque beer. Link
  • DMS 1529:2020 Kombucha drink – Specification. This draft Malawi standard specifies the requirements and the  methods of sampling and test for kombucha drinks. Link
  • DMS 1695:2021  Cider and perry – Specification. This draft Malawi standard specifies the requirements, methods  of sampling and test for cider and perry for human consumption. Link
  • DMS 1438:2017 Fruit syrups – Specification.  This draft Malawi standard specifies the requirements and the  methods of sampling and test for fruit syrups intended for direct human consumption as  a ready to drink beverage after dilution with potable water. Link
  • DMS 1840:2022 Dry split peas – Specification. This  draft  Malawi  standard  specifies  the  requirements  and  methods of sampling and test for dry split peas of varieties (cultivars) grown from Pisum  sativum L. and Pisum sativum var. arvense L. intended for human consumption. Link
  • DMS 880:2017 Synthetic syrups  – Specification. This draft Malawi standard specifies the requirements and the  methods of sampling and test for synthetic (flavoured) syrups. Link
