Olive oil classification and labeling standards

At the recommendation of the California Olive Oil Commission (OOCC), the California Department of Food and Agriculture has published standards and regulations for the classification and labeling of olive oils for the 2022/23 marketing year, which will be in effect from September 26, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
According to the California Department of Food and Agriculture document, the standards are identical to those in effect last season, so there will be no changes in quality and purity parameters.
