Labeling standards for packaged honey

The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced the "Labeling Regulations for Packaged Honey and Syrup Products".
The regulation provides for product name labeling and raw honey origin labeling are standardized according to the honey content of packaged honey and its syrup products.
- If the honey content is more than 60%, if sugar (syrup) is added, the product name should be labeled as "sweetened honey", if other raw materials than sugar (syrup) are added, but not sugar (syrup), the product name should be labeled as "Prepared honey" or "Contains honey".
- If the honey content is less than 60% and the product name contains the words "honey (honey)", the product name must be fully marked as "honey (honey) flavor" or "honey (honey) flavor" .
